The Grids and their characters

The grids

Their plan was specific and clear long before the privileged left this almost ruined and polluted planet which after its violent exploitation for its natural energy sources turned into an inhospitable and dangerous environment for humanity. Then the rulers decided and planned their malicious and dystopian plan for those left behind on the planet without the ability to follow the privileged to the colonies on the surrounding planets around the Earth. At that time when the privileged began to leave the planet the ruling class formed an army with a mission to gather and imprison all those who would remain on the planet. In order to deceive the survivors in the regions of the planet on all continents τhey found them and presented them with a plan to restart civilization within the vast city-states they named Grid.
But in reality they created and carried out the largest and most organized plan of deception that humanity has ever known.

The first Grid was a sadistic experiment  they brought the lost the hopeless and helpless ones  millions of them from all over their territories and called it ”a new start”  just to lock them in a jail-state the biggest and cruelest that mankind ever see but they didn’t expect what really happened the half-dead population of the Grid formed a force that wanted to live to heal the wounds and fight back After the implementation of the plan of the sovereign for gathering of those left behind on earth. Those who were not selected to escape on colonies on other planets. It was revealed that the purpose of the rulers was to imprisonment and exploitation of those led to Grid prison-cities. They gathered them there in order to deprive them of everything freedom and choice so that they are forced to live under the regime of imprisonment and coercion of the rulers. To work for their guards in various jobs in and out of the Grids, and offer body and mind to the sovereigns for various purposes. But the desperate and impoverished prisoners of the Grid decided to revolt and fight for their freedom. Guided by the hope for a better and free future they fight for this by any means that exists in both the physical and the digital world. The rulers build their Grid cities as a network in every continent for their malevolent reasons and when the lost ones started to form their resistance they only had one choice to go underground to dig their way and to reach the old remains of the cities of the past there were the free people used to live before the world changed.

Each Grid has his own airspace and the rulers have their way to secure and control that place of the sky

There are 8 Grids and each of them consists of mega-cities depending on the population.

Every  mega-city is governed by a Mayor and every Grid by a  prefect.

MaraThe resistance recruiters, adorned with symbols of defiance and fueled by the passion for a liberated Grid, embarked on a mission to convince those who had yet to take up arms. They navigated the neon-lit streets, approaching individuals and small groups with a message of unity and collective strength. In the heart of the Megacity 1 of the Oceania Grid, a charismatic recruiter named Mara stood before a diverse gathering of unaffiliated citizens. With conviction in her voice, she addressed the crowd.

– We understand your desire for independence, for a life free from the constant struggle. But living on the fringes won’t shield you forever. The ruling powers won’t stop until they have complete control, until every trace of freedom is erased.

Mara gestured toward the towering structures that surrounded them, their once-gleaming surfaces now marred by the scars of conflict.

– You’ve seen the changes they’ve imposed upon our world. How long until they come for each of us individually? How long until our way of life is extinguished completely?

A murmur of concern spread through the crowd, as residents exchanged uncertain glances. Some, scarred by the recent upheaval, were hesitant to embrace a new cause. Others, drawn by the promise of autonomy, pondered the implications of joining a resistance that demanded more than just survival.

Mara continued,

– We’re not asking you to become soldiers overnight. We’re asking for a commitment to reclaim what was once ours—the right to live without fear, the right to shape our destinies within these digital confines. Together, we can resist the oppression and forge a path toward a future where our choices matter.

As the speech echoed through the electronic channels of the Grid, a debate ignited among the residents. Some were moved by Mara’s words, sensing an opportunity for change, while others clung to the hope of maintaining their unaffiliated existence. The Grid, pulsating with the dichotomy of resistance and neutrality, stood at a crossroads. The choice was imminent, and the unaffiliated inhabitants now faced the weight of a decision that would shape not only their individual destinies but also the destiny of the entire digital realm they called home.

Neural Seraphs – In the neon-lit depths of the Megacity 1 at the Europe Grid, a sinister sect of High Dark Priests Known as the Neural Seraphs convened within the catacombs of the Central Spire. The priests practiced Synchromysticism, a dark art that xploited the interconnectedness of all beings and machines. Veiled in robes woven with cybernetic filaments, their eyes glowed with the faint pulse of data streams, connecting them to the omnipotent Grid a sentient network worshiped as a god.
Led by the enigmatic High Priest, a being of pure code and consciousness, the Seraphs served the ruling government with unwavering devotion. By manipulating the city’s digital infrastructure, they could control the minds of the masses, shaping their thoughts and beliefs to align with the government’s agenda. For the rulers of the dystopian mega-government, they were the oracles, prophets of the Grid’s will. But beneath their sacred rites lay a darker purpose: to maintain humanity’s servitude.

The afterdark projectNo one can recognize or remember anything related to their voices. Some nights, they broadcast from a frequency that no one can locate, not even the cyberpunk rebels. The rulers, in their own ways, cannot find it either. The Mecha scouts, drones, and patrols have not succeeded. Of course, the rulers do not have good intentions they want to exterminate them. When they broadcast, they narrate and inform the insurgents about many important events that should not be forgotten, myths, beliefs, and memories of the past. These are the experiences of people who have been touched by situations and phenomena that constantly remind us that there are not only material things around us, and that all we perceive as ‘reality’ is not the entire picture. They talk to them about the spiritual world, the different types of energy that exist around us, and those who were lost. In the tunnels and ruins of the Grid cities-prisons, sometimes the cyberpunk rebels find graffiti with messages from those who tell them about everything they should not forget.

The weirdo cult – He started broadcasting to a few people through a communication network with limited range, and so he began to gain recognition through low key discussions among the residents of Megacity 2 in the European Grid. He would announce his broadcasts with an encrypted signal a few minutes before they aired on the residents communication devices, and during these broadcasts, he revealed information about the plans of the overlords both before and after the imposition of the Grids across the entire planet. He was one of the main instigators of the first rebellion in the European Grid at Megacity 2, and the rebels who followed his broadcasts made sure to spread the information he transmitted to the residents of Megacities 1 and 3 within the European Grid so that they too could access his broadcasts. The overlord army has not yet managed to locate and eliminate him because his followers have ensured the information he transmits remains concealed, and they have kept the communication code between them regarding his broadcasts secret. He is known as Weirdo, and he is followed by the community of the Weirdo cult
