When the overlords finalized the architecture of the Grids, they understood that control through infrastructure alone was insufficient. To truly dominate both the physical and metaphysical layers of existence, they needed agents who could transcend the limits of flesh and l ogic, beings who moved effortlessly between code and occult. Thus, a call was sent out as an encrypted summoning protocol, pulsing through quantum layers of the Grid inviting Decius, high priest of the Neural Seraphs, and the cultic elders of the Mystic Covenant to the Citadel of Eight Mirrors at the Megacity 4 of the European Grid. Decius arrived first, his neural implants humming in sync with the Grid’s invisible rhythms. He was more algorithm than man, a vessel of ancient esoterica reforged in digital crucibles. His ascension, once fueled by arcane rituals and synthetic transcendence, had aligned perfectly with the overlords’ agenda to merge chaos and control, dream and directive. From the Wastelands came the Mystic Covenant dust-stained prophets of ruin, their bodies bearing ritual scars and sensor-glyphs. They knelt not to Decius, but to the Obelisk Interface, which now emitted a black radiance, pulsing in time with their chants. Their sacrificial incantations part blood rite, part data string amplified the Grid’s reach across the desolate lands. Within the Citadel, an unholy convergence was forged. The Neural Seraphs would serve as executors of will, manipulating minds through synthetic enlightenment. The Mystic Covenant would fracture resistance with terror, feeding despair into the Grid’s energy loops. And the overlords observers, architects, parasites would harness the chaos to extend their rule beyond time and dimension. The pact was sealed in silence. Not with words, but with pulses, signals, and sigils. The age of metaphysical domination had begun. Yet deep within the sub-layered hymns of the Covenant and the encrypted thoughts of the Seraphs, a latent desire stirred one not to serve, but to ascend… above even the overlords themselves.
